Privacy Policy

How information is handled when you read FIELDLIGHT or use its planning tools.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This policy covers FIELDLIGHT at https://orbivista.link. It describes the website features supplied by this publication and messages you choose to send to its contact address.

1. Information you provide

You can read the guides without creating an account. The website has no contact submission form, newsletter signup, or public comment system. If you email us separately, your message, email address, and any details you include become part of that correspondence. Avoid including information that is not needed to address your request.

2. Trip plans and packing lists

The trip planner and packing checklist use localStorage in your browser to retain entries and checked items. That can include a destination, route, date, return time, group notes, and a trip-contact plan. The application does not upload these entries to a FIELDLIGHT server or share them with another person. They are not an online backup or an emergency notification service.

Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to view saved entries. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes them; private browsing, storage limits, or browser settings may prevent retention. Downloaded or printed copies are separate files or documents that you control.

Homepage situation tabs, expandable explanations, and departure self-check selections run within the page. The site does not save those selections to localStorage, send them as analytics events, or use them to create a personal profile.

3. Technical requests and hosting

Loading a web page requires a connection to the host serving it. A hosting or network provider may process technical request information such as an IP address, requested URL, time, and browser information for delivery, security, or troubleshooting. This application does not include a visitor analytics dashboard or collect a precise location through a location permission request. Do not put private information in page URLs.

The supplied pages load their fonts, images, styles, and scripts from this site. Following an external reference or Google settings link makes a separate request to that service. Its handling of request information is governed by its own notices, not by the local-storage behavior of our planning tools.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The current website code sets no advertising or analytics cookies and includes no Google Analytics, AdSense, affiliate tracker, or third-party advertising script. Local tool storage is used for the functions described above. Browser controls for cookies and site data can also affect local storage.

5. How correspondence is used

Information you choose to email may be used to answer the question, investigate a correction or rights request, address an accessibility issue, or handle abuse. Do not send a complete trip itinerary expecting us to track your return. Publication of a correction does not require publishing the sender’s private contact information.

6. Disclosure and outside services

The application does not sell tool entries or transmit them to advertising networks. Email providers process messages under their own terms. Information may need to be disclosed where applicable law requires it or to respond to a valid legal process. External reference links take you to services with their own practices; they do not receive your saved tool entries from this application.

7. Retention and security

Local entries remain until you remove them, overwrite them, or the browser clears them. Keep a separate copy of anything you need. Correspondence should be retained only as needed for the request, records of its resolution, security, or applicable obligations; this policy does not promise an unverified fixed retention period.

No website, email service, or shared device can guarantee absolute security. Use a trusted device and avoid entering sensitive personal details in a shared browser.

8. Personalized advertising: opt-out and information

Google advertising is not enabled in the current site. If it is introduced, the notice must describe the actual vendors, data use, and applicable consent controls before those features are activated. When Google advertising services are used, advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites.

Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove advertisements. On services that display ads, some may still be contextual, and information may still be used for purposes such as measurement or fraud prevention. Browser cookie controls are separate from Google account choices.

9. Your choices and requests

You can clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings, avoid saving entries on a shared device, and choose whether to follow an external link or send email. Depending on the law that applies to you and the processing involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Email the address below with the request and enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.

A request concerning correspondence is different from clearing a tool on your device: FIELDLIGHT cannot retrieve or erase local browser entries remotely. Applicable rights and response requirements depend on the relevant jurisdiction and circumstances. You may also have the right to raise a concern with your data-protection authority.

10. Children’s information

The site is a general educational resource and does not offer child accounts or ask children to submit information. A child should involve a parent or guardian in outdoor planning. If you believe a child has emailed unnecessary personal information, contact us so the matter can be reviewed and the information removed where appropriate.

11. External links and local copies

Linked authorities, retailers, licensing pages, and other external websites have separate privacy policies. Files you export and copies you share leave the tool’s local-storage context; consider what personal information they contain before sharing.

12. Sale or sharing for advertising

The current application has no mechanism to sell personal information or share tool data for cross-context behavioral advertising. A future change in services requires an updated description and any choices required for that processing.

13. Policy changes

Revisions will be published here with an updated date. Review this page when using a new feature. A policy update does not by itself enable an advertising service or obtain consent for a new use of information.

14. Contact

Contact FIELDLIGHT at [email protected]. Copy the address into the email service you choose. This website does not open an email application or submit messages.
